Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market has so many food adventures under one roof/outdoor area. From rotisserie porchetta, to freeze dried satsumas dipped in chocolate ( Happy Apple Farmer) to sweet risotto tart at Frog Hollow to candied salmon ....all sorts of panna cotta at various restaurants Togo section... Cowgirl Creamery!! All the cheeses. So Fun.

Of course the chocolate shops and bakeries are all spectacular (especially in the Mission)

Eat Rite Creamery has a cream brulee ice cream that still boggles my mind....how do the shards of burnt sugar remain crisp.

Berkeley is great too, especially grocery stores. Well and Chez Panisse

I used to work in the Book Business, hearing you talk about being at a convention, made me think of the amazing Swag we left with from Book conventions! We actually had to ship books home we recd so many.

So much fun! Hope you were all equally sprinkled with disc golf gear.

Ate my first sushi in San Francisco, looong time ago. And leave that beautiful city every time looking forward to coming back.

Two restaurants I would have put into your SFO list: Slanted Door (currently under remodeling, but due to reopen in 2023) and Fang (a five-part series about them on Food Network - just be sure if you go to have them pick your dinner and DO NOT order from the menu (the TV series helps explain why!)).

Great post! Andrew, I want to learn to make some Thai and Vietnamese dishes. I try and try but my dishes are never as good as those I purchase at quality restaurants. I am shopping at Asian markets and trying to put together the ingredients/necessities for these dishes.
