Bangkok is one of my favorite food cities in the world.


People ask how I do it all. The truth is, I don’t. For a few dollars a month, you can support Spilled Milk and the team that makes it


Bangkok is one of my favorite food cities in the world. Sour, salty, bitter, sweet and SPICY all combine into something that thrills me in terms of what winds up on the plate on any given day. It’s a sensual city in every way imaginable, and the sultry heat always heightens my excitement. Southern Asia, especially on the eastern side, is one of my eternal happy places. I never tire of the people, the food, the history and what surprises lie down every alley or jungle road. All of it is a huge turn-on. There really is nothing quite like it. I am a real explorer  during the day, so when I am done I like to head back to a great hotel. Bangkok has so many—these are some of my favorites:

Capella Bangkok 

I love this place because it is BRAND NEW! And NEW is always something excellent when staying in a hotel. New carpet in the room, new beds… new is always better.

One of the four restaurants on the property is run by Mauro Colagreco, who used to be the chef at the three-Michelin star Mirazur. Bonus for that. Check out the hotel here.
