I love cookbooks, so here is a list of the books we are most excited about, ones that I think home cooks will get the most out of. Buy them now, get some for holiday gifts, shop early and support these great writers, entrepreneurs, cooks and chefs.

Video below. Well worth watching and click on any book icon below to order directly.

A small note: as a back-to-school amuse-bouche, Spilled Milk’s paywall is down ALL WEEK LONG. Please consider upgrading to a paid subscription so you get this same fabulous content every week of the year. This is also a great week to tell your friends about Spilled Milk. Send the link around and spread the love.

People ask how I do it all. The truth is, I don’t. For a few dollars a month, you can support Spilled Milk and the team that makes it.

The books:

Amy Thielen, “Company: The Radically Casual Art of Cooking for Others”

Buy it here.

Clarissa Wei, “Made in Taiwan: Recipes and Stories from the Island Nation”

Buy it here.

Kevin Pang and Jeffrey Pang, “A Very Chinese Cookbook: 100 Recipes from China and Not China (But Still Really Chinese)”

Buy it here.

JJ Johnson, “The Simple Art of Rice: Recipes from Around the World for the Heart of Your Table”

Fabrizia Lanza, “The Food of Sicily: Recipes from a Sun-Drenched Culinary Crossroads”

Buy it here.

Adeena Sussman, “Shabbat: Recipes and Rituals from My Table to Yours”

Hi Andrew, many thanks for generously noting in this 9/25 entry that “SPILLED MILK’s paywall is down ALL WEEK” but what exactly do you mean? I tried to view the previous Spilled Milk post but all subscriber content is behind the paywall. Thank you for clarifying what paywalled content IS accessible this week. Many Thanks.
