Easy Peasy Weeknight "Rice Paper Packets": Spilled Milk #108
This simple, delicious dish needs a better name. What should I call it?
So as I said in my video, maybe someone here can help name this dish. Put your ideas in Notes or in the comments below.
I came home the other day, and needed to make a simple easy FAST weeknight meal that paired with a big salad.
I made a sesame/ginger/carrot dressing and made the salad.
Then I took some ground pork, veg I had laying around — and yes, I cook a lot of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese food, so I had the pantry items — and created this simple dinner. I seriously urge you to do the same. Having items from the Mala Market, the Japanese Pantry, and other online resources (even Amazon sells all the ingredients I used) means you save TIME and MONEY!
These packets came together so fast, I shallow-fried them but I might try a deeper fry. I may try a different shape, too, but everyone devoured these.
Best of all, I took the leftover meat mix, minced the leftover shrimp and stirred that in and froze it. So I have another dinner in the freezer: Either I’ll make more packets or simply flash sauté the mixture and spill it out over some noodles.
