The Eagles are in the Super Bowl. The Phillies made it to last year’s World Series. The Sixers are a few games back of the Celtics in the Eastern Conference of the NBA.

Philly sports fans have a lot to celebrate these days. One constant over the years is the breadth and depth of the Philadelphia food scene, especially as a sandwich town. I’ve said this before: Philly is probably the best sandwich town in America for f!$* sake. Sure, NYC probably has more, but Philadelphia’s official city mascot is the cheesesteak. The whole city has a tough working-class vibe that screams SANDWICH. And yes, anytime I use my beloved NYC and Philly in the same sentence I have to use an F-bomb.
