Lost my dad in 2014. There are several items you featured he would have loved! Funny thing..,so do I. So just perused with the mindset…what would dad want me to treat myself to this year? 🧡 I used to collect mortar & pestles when I traveled. So much fun to seek out. Then in a fit of insanity & purging 😳 I got rid of most of them. I will accept this post as my sign to travel more & start collecting them again.

Great pic with your dad! But that stache…

As a kid Father’s Day meant hours on the boat fishing with my dad & brothers. As an adult..Father’s Day became hours on my porch as we leisurely feasted our way thru various grilled seafoods. Miss them both.

Beautiful post....great photo. Wish my dad were still around so I could buy him gifts, which he hated. He was a true artist and minimalist, so wanted nothing...ever. PS I know this is from a couple of posts ago, but I JUST now tried a Culver's cheeseburger. I still prefer In-N-Out but it was good. xo

Happy Father’s Day! For Father’s Day I wanted the day-off. Which I butted heads at work over but I got. Here’s to an observable day for fathers and mothers by law!!! Close your gold mines and have some respect. All my best! G

Very very nice picture and very well said! Both 'sides' or however you want to phrase it, the 'good' and 'bad', do count, and it's totally OK, at least I've learned. You can sort of still 'get angry', and at the same time, still 'laugh' at a memory, and it's all fine, human. Ultimately, at least I'd like to think so, it's ultimately good, since you learn from 'both'.
