Hello Andrew, I'm a new annual subscriber to your newsletter and perhaps you have previously answered this question. We have thoroughly enjoyed every season and every episode of Family Dinner. It's authentic and true Americana. We also enjoyed the one episode of Family Restaurant. Will there be more episodes coming of Family Restaurant?

Loved seeing you as a judge on TOC. Would love to hear if there any differences in how you approach judging on there versus Iron Chef.

As a former kitchen staffer, those were 'highly' amusing years... after work activities were very bonding experiences between 26 & 55 years... after 62, had to call-it quits... yet 4/20 lives-on...

EZ Stoner concoctions are fabulous mashup of one's imagination, and under the influenced circumstances... The next day entering the kitchen, you see these pans, plates or bowls with 'unidentified' so-called food from whatever the night before... it's rather amusing trying to figure out what why & how did we or I make this...???

Tipping in the US certainly needs to be modifying, no question... how is the underlining trick. For whatever the solutions maybe accepted, there will always be other groups that finds the solution unreasonable... The restaurants individually have to take-a-stand, for 1 solution to work for all is unrealistic... the Restauranteur who should know their clientele, thus they should able to access what the diners will stand for... if there's a couple of SNAPUs or missteps, you adjust accordingly... It's got to be the responsibility of each Restauranteur to "Boldly go where nobody wants to be the 1st"

My job use to encompass constant travel mostly Europe, yet I've been very fortunate to have ventured to most countries, so culturally enriching, very eye-opening... So that snack-stash is vital essential no-doubt...

Hey Andrew,

Have you ever been to Norfolk or Virginia Beach? If so, what restaurants have you been to? (I was born in Newport, RI, grew up in Virginia Beach and lived most of my adult life in Norfolk.) We don’t seem to get as much recognition as I think we should.

Thanks for including me in today’s AMA!😊

A question-heading to Scotland this summer for the first time. I am being “challenged” by a family member to try Haggis. Should I? And any recommendations on where?

Thanks for the direct link to vote for your Webby nomination. I have shared the series with a lot of home cook friends. Also had to look up 4/20. Duh.

Now a question, ramp and wild morel season is right in front of us. I love and forage both. I make and keep ramp butter and am going to pickle some this year. What’s your favorite way to use morels? Do you forage?

Ah…so you lean towards The Highwaymen collaboration (Waylon, Willie, Johnny, and Kris) then????

My dear Andrew . If you give a $2,5 tip when you buy a $2,5 coffee it equals to 100% tip. Not 50%, not 200% 😛 But it doesn’t matter. You are an excellent chef 😏

As a Johnny Cash fan too, here's a hopefully amusing parody I wrote to "I've Been Everywhere"...

I've Eaten Everywhere Man, I've Eaten Everything...

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I was totin' my pack along the dusty Minnesota road

When along came a semi with a huge carnivorous load

"If you're goin' to Winnemucca, Mack, with me you can ride"

And so I climbed into the cab, and then I settled down inside

He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand

And I said, "Listen, I've traveled every road in this here land"

I've eaten everywhere, man...

I've eaten everything, man...

Crossed the deserts bare, man...

I've breathed the mountain air, man...

Of travel I've had my share, man...

I've been everywhere...

I've eaten in Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota

Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota

Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma

Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma

Bangor, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo

Tocapillo, Baranquilla, and Perdilla, I'm an eater...

I've eaten everywhere, man...

I've eaten everything, man...

Crossed the deserts bare, man...

I've breathed the mountain air, man...

Of travel I've had my share, man...

I've been everywhere...

I've eaten in Boston, Charleston, Dayton, Louisiana

Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana

Monterey, Faraday, Santa Fe, Tallapoosa

Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa

I've eaten everywhere, man...

I've eaten everything, man...

Crossed the desert's bare, man...

I've breathed the mountain air, man...

Of travel I've had my share, man...

I've been everywhere...

I've eaten in Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Ombabika

Schefferville, Jacksonville, Waterville, Costa Rica

Pittsfield, Springfield, Bakersfield, Shreveport

Hackensack, Cadillac, Fond du Lac, Davenport

Idaho, Jellico, Argentina, Diamantina,

Pasadena, Catalina, see what I mean...

I've eaten everywhere, man...

I've eaten everything, man...

Of travel I've had my share, man...

I've been everywhere...
