I first came home to my family from an orphanage at 3 years old. Everything was overwhelming but most of all eating. (I have zero memories of before). My absolute favorite part of everyday. Lunch was right before my mom's soaps and...wait for it.... Saltines and homemade butter. Nirvana. I find myself eating a lot of saltines and butter or Laughing Cow cheese these days. Inner peace :)
We can't find Family Dinner on Sunday nights - Verizon Fios. One of our fav shows - reached out to Magnolia & they couldn't help us. Did find Bizarre Foods/Del Destinations on a cable cooking channel. Any idea what channel FD is on ? Thx,
Family Dinner is exclusive to Magnolia Network. It is possible Family Dinner is currently rotated out for different programming in that time slot. Looks like you found the channel if you got the Delicious Destinations marathon yesterday afternoon (8/7). Looks like Family Dinner is on hiatus for Beachfront Bargain Hunt Renovation at this time.
Yes - we watched the beach show last night- interesting. Hope Family Dinner comes back later this yr. Thx for connecting w me. Will ck out Joanna's products @ Target ... Love her Sunday cooking show - I get ideas ! Debbie
In the summer, tomato sandwiches and Miracle Whip on Italian bread. In the winter, floor-sweepings bean soup (I.e., HamBeens 15-bean soup mix - skip the meat and the seasoning packet, add a little liquid smoke).
Easily my Mom’s chicken casserole and my paternal Great-Grandmother’s chicken-n-dumplings and potato cakes. Growing up in a small town/rural area in the 70’s-early 80’s, there wasn’t fast food and restaurants on every corner - every meal was home cooked ……..
A pan fried Hebrew National beef hot dog, with sauteed onion, served on a chicago-dog bun, with Heinz mustard pickle relish... Thanks Dad...!!!

Our childhood treat was French toast!!!
When my parents left me alone I would put peanut butter and marshmallows into hot dog rolls. With Cheez curls or puffs, love both.
Bologna and Miracle Whip on white bread. Lol
OY, I think I just had a heart attack!
Dill pickle coveted in crunchy peanutbutter.
Extra lemony Avgolemono soup
scrambled eggs & bacon on a hard roll - yum ...

Kosher corned beef sliced thin piled high on caraway onion rye bread with lots of yellow mustard and potato chips and a Cherry Coke
Loaded Homemade Mac and cheese with kosher hotdogs!
Ok first of all you crack me up.
As a kid, sloppy Joe's and those little, square, flat, translucent potatoes they served with it at school.
Butter and sugar sandwiches or mustard and onion with s&p
I was a big fan of Chef Boyardee.
Tuna on white toast with pickles
