My father made gnocchi often. After cutting the final pices he finished each one with a little snap and roll between his thumb and first two fingers. He liked that tight roll that resulted because it gave the finished product more texture. He would say they had to be like bullets! Growing up, absolutely none of my friends had ever heard of gnocchi so they were considered to be quite the delicacy in our neighborhood. He had a large square of oilcloth that he would put on a card table and that is where they would dry. Such a great memory!

Gorgeous! Salty Seattle is a fun follow on Instagram also, her creativity is mesmerizing. First time I ever had gnocchi I ate waaaay too much, felt like it tripled in size in my stomach. Took me a long time to try it again. 😂 so delicious, especially when crisped up a bit at the end!! And of course, in a very small bowl 😂😂

DAMN! Those crocchi are beautiful! They look like colorful sea shells, ornaments or spinning tops.

I want.
