I saw AZ’s tweet about the pickle pizza! Glad he was able to get there earlier than planned. But dying to know..how was it???

We saw this last night right after we crushed a bunch of my home made pickles while grilling pizzas outside. And if we were not already stuffed would have whipped up more dough just to try that!!

I love how passionate you are about this fair! Maybe I can check it out next year. Are there any Nutella items? ;) My other obsession is gelato on a brioche bun. Heaven. If I were dying, that would be my last (food item) request. Have fun @ the fair ~

Not even half way through and I’ve got to say how much I love this Go Fork Yourself. My first reaction was that I related to you and your dads because I am a rusty rails version. I take my kids to a rare record stores in search of minty fresh Veruca Salt or real Ummagumma. Then to a video game hole-in-the-wall for a chance to buy Panic Restaurant. More later.

I had the Schnitzel sandwich and it was just as you said - an instant classic. So delish. I also have always been a fan of some of the simple foods like pork chop on a stick. Milkshakes from the dairy building are a family fave. Of course, my family and I can't leave without a bucket of Sweet Martha's cookies for the road.

Andrew, you touched-on what I relish in at the Wisconsin State Fair... all the dimension & facets of the State Fair, from cultural, the arts displayed and a chats w/ the artists, of the array of musicians, purveyors & growers. There's a vast amount of knowledge & expertise one can indulge in and truly learn a whole bunch of stuff that one would not encounter on a general basis... unless they're more like myself... Curiosity never really killed the cat... Curiosity is the cornerstone of expanding knowledge... which I live by everyday... it makes life much more interesting, amusing and definitely the most worthwhile...

I happened upon these by accident a while back at my fav market. They packaged them in the pre-pac deli section. This happens to be a more international type market, I was buying them and using them in egg dishes like quiche or scrambles. Good news is they are usually quite inexpensive!
