Here’s a crazy idea… what if we stopped needlessly killing and eating fish? Wouldn’t that be the best thing for our ocean’s ecosystem and diversity loss. Reducing our reliance on single use plastic, farmed fish, etc - whilst a noble endeavor - makes a laughable impact in comparison to just not eating fish. It’s really such a simple fix to a devastating problem caused by our desire for trivial taste pleasure.
I saw 3 episodes and found the documentary extremely well-made and engaging. What a brilliant idea to use our oceans to sustainably grow food that is healthy and nutritious for the entire world. I love the idea of introducing all sorts of local varieties of seafood that we normally don’t even get to see to our local markets. Seafood is so expensive now and I wouldn’t mind paying the cheaper prices for lesser known locally grown fish. The kelp diet is also intriguing.
Look forward to it. On a related topic, I wish some of these great organizations (like 4ocean) would stop selling bracelets because I see them being discarded and littering the land AND sea. It's perpetuating the exact thing they're trying to fix...maddening.
I saw your interview today on GMA--I am looking forward to seeing this. Thanks!
