Last night I streamed the JB awards on twitter while I prepped dinner. Just as I threw the salmon on the grill the tornado sirens went off from my home to Chicago! I am so glad for all of you your night wasn’t effected by that insane storm. I just wanted to say what you were all feeling was palpable to those watching. The support, admiration, recognition, and sense of family was lovely. I kept thinking to myself that gathering together after such a crappy couple of years must be recharging all your batteries. And I’ve got to say it…AZ …looking mighty handsome all tuxed up.

But now…I’m a bit mad at you…I have made it all the way till June 13,2022 without Netflix! And you all have to go and do this?? I adore Kristen! And Alton! Have mad respect for Dominique Crenn…got to love a lady who’s been thru some stuff, took care of business, and is just killing it. This show is going to make me break my I don’t need Netflix oath. 😂🔪👩‍🍳

Replying to your Tweet AZ, I'd have to say my scales tip towards Curtis Duffy & Mei Lin as the potential winners... then there's Claudette Zepeda, who I'm kinda rooting cause I've dined at her restaurant in San Diego awhile back, wonderful offerings... and then there's my 'Underdog', Mason Hereford, he just seems pretty cool & fun chef.... We'll see what unfolds as the finale table gets set-up for the final "Grand Entrees" are served & tasted.... ~ Ciao (so to speak)

Watched the 'Kick-Off' of the new "Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend" and it was SUPERCALIFRAGILISICEXPIALIDOCOUS.!!!! I'll be setting-up 'series record' for this culinary competition... I'm SOooo anxious for this series to unfold along with, hopefully, what will be multi-seasons to come... AZ & AB are my culinarian dynamic duo... crusading for kitchen confidence, correctness & management... a TOAST to the 2 grand Culinary Musketeers ~ CHEERS & Brav-O, Brav-O Guyz.!!!

I just tried to watch the new Netflix Iron Chef show...... WHAT A F'N JOKE!!!!!!

IT SUCKS. SO GIMMICKY, TRYING TO BE TRENDY, WOKE AND OVER THE TOP. YET ALL IT SUCCEEDED IN BEING WAS TV TRASH!!!

The original show was original and iconic. The "new" chairman is a fool with his dumb moves and facial expressions, but we learned that from watching America.

The fact he picks the match-ups is stupid and so different from original... pathetic!!!

Even after 30 years, the original Iron Chef shows, after the 25th veiwing of each show 20+ years later is more refreshing and current than this waste of everyone's time.

If anyone disagrees, they are not an Iron Chef fan!!!

I quickly switched over to Pluto/Freevee to watch Sakaisan and his brethren show how it is done properly.

As for the judges/hosts, they must have been paid a lot to "act" like this show is even worth watching!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible, stupid, boring, lame, etc., and clearly very, very, very bad and I challenge anyone to compare the two and say the new version can even hold the jock strap of the original. It says a lot to say this new Iron Chef makes Iron Chef America look almost watchable.

Chen Kenichi's father, the sage, must be praying this new version dies a quicker death than the French royal family during the revolution using a guillotine.

P.S. Isn't Chef Samuelson (sp?) appropriating "black culture" opening a "soul food" restaurant??? He grew up in Sweden and hails from Ethiopia.

Sincerely,

Dion Ware

Ok not getting a gosh darned thing done today. So just watched episode 2 of the new Iron Chef. Did the challenger provide a “dry” option in her cocktail offerings?

I loved Martin Yan cooking show, Yan Can Cook, on Food Network !!

My recollection is watching Yan Can Cook on PBS, not Food Network. I guess I am old!!! It used to come on after the Frugal Gourmet. Too bad he was "cancelled" cuz of accusations of child molestation. Still have a few of his cookbooks and the Dill Pickle Roast is awesome!!!
