It’s a Hot Dog Summer: Spilled Milk #117
All about hot dogs and what else is hot this summery week in America.
1. The Best Hot Dogs in America
I am with the editors of Eater Atlanta: Our hot dogs at Patty & Frank’s are the best. I haven’t eaten their equal anywhere. I will say it right here. We make the best tube steaks in the country. The dog itself is a Pat LaFrieda-AZ collab and the bespoke buns and toppings are insane. Here are a few pics of some current franks and some new items on the way. You are the first to see them.
We are rolling out a seasonal change on our P&F Dog with slaw, a killer brat with sweet and sour red cabbage and crispy onions, a breakfast brat with egg, and an Italian sausage with peppers and onions.
P.S.: I know this is a hot dog celebration, but Spilled Milkers responded so enthusiastically to the chopped cheese I made and put out on these pages that we have two new versions coming to you at Patty & Franks.
2. Summer Travel
Loyal readers know how often I have written about places to go and stay that aren’t over-run in the summer. There are so many European countries struggling with insane travel numbers right now. Italy, Spain and Greece are on track for a record-setting tourism season, and I don’t understand why someone would want to deal with that hassle when Croatia, Holland, Belgium, Cyprus, Turkey, Hungary, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and many others are so much easier to navigate right now. I have written about many of these places but promise more so that you can make plans for next year.
