I remember that episode, very nice LI family! Good food obviously along with the standard but cool 'Family Dinner' conversations around the table...!

This was one of my fav families. The way they talked about “moms” sauce. And just their genuine passion for cooking and feeding people!! Lovely family. I am not a big fan of tomato sauces, personally I’m a “light saucer”, but This one 🍅🧡

I did my own version after watching her lil secrets she shared, & for me it was the onions! So good. Will be trying AZ recipe…see how close I came to hers.

Any ideas for substitutions for the prosciutto ends? Or, recommendations on how to get ahold of them?

Great recipe, going to cut it in half since I’m making this for 2. Question, would regular deli prosciutto slices or pancetta work for this recipe?

Chef Z - in the video, you mention including "chilies" when you saute the onions, proscuitto ends, and garlic - but chilies are not listed in the ingredients or the written instructions. Chili flakes are added when you add the other spices during the second cook. Can you elaborate on the mystery chilies?
