For the law student, I also recommend a single-serving rice cooker to make perfect rice while you're studying. When I'm in a hurry, I make a bowl of brown rice, then mix in butter, a bit of soy sauce, chopped pistachios, sliced scallions and a handful of chopped cilantro. And minced fresh garlic if I don't plan to be breathing in anyone's face for a day. Easy, healthy, super flavorful. The time it takes is starting the rice and chopping the toppings - easy peasy.

Like yourself, huge 'Wurst ' guy thanks to my mom, dad and his parents, my grand ones on dad's side... Be it Bratwurst, Bockwurst, Frankfurter, Knockwurst, Liverwurst, Weisswurst, + Pâtés... So delicious and so many ways to enjoy it, and the regional variations... Viva la Wurst...!!!

Being a pickled guy, which pairs well with the richness of the sausages... meaning pretty much any pickled veggies...

Hope you & your's had a festive Passover feast... best regards & take care...

We have hausmacher in St Louis from G&W, it's liverwurst on steroids. You should try it next time you're here.

Muncan!!!! What a great shop. They brought out hot chunks of pork last time I was there, swoon.

I'm trying to recreate Ani's guava bread from Hawaii, it's got me stumped..the texture is tender yet glutinous with a oozy guava goo. Hard to find a decent Portuguese sweet bread recipe or decent Hawaiian bread recipe. Thinking babka may be close, or a stollen dough....any ideas?

Thanks for answering my questions, Andrew! I just got my rosemary and thyme seeds (just a couple more and I have a Simon & Garfunkel tune 😄) to grow my first herb garden this summer. I looked for the Persian cucumber seeds but may have to order them. I would appreciate information about the knife.
