I'm entertaining finally purchasing an Immersion Circulator, yet they seem like the 'Water Bath' version of a 'Slow-Cooker'... yet when you brought up the "Flavor" aspect, I just bought a high quality Vacuum Sealer... As i understand, that what creates that deep flavor that penetrates whatever you're marinating when vacuum sealed??

I question the "money saver" aspect, because they're ON or Running much longer time than throwing the marinated whatever, into a cast iron or carbon steel pan for 8 to 10 minutes... Another way I justify procrastinate the purchase, is to say "With the high heat, thus causing water shortages or water rationing, I'm being environmentally conscientious... I don't want to be a "Water-Hog" under the circumstances.... yet the vacuum sealer truly brings out the favor, and whatever I prepare seems much juicier...

Perhaps if I drop a few hints, my sister might gift-it to me on my birthday... or perhaps Hanukkah?? 8 Dayz, 1 gift... that seems more than fair, to me... We'll see what she thinks??

Btw: Like your new groomed beard, yet with this heat, perhaps a summer shave, you'll look 10 years younger... sell the trimmings, and with the funds raised, give a few of your favorite food charities....

Always best regards to you, Molly & all your subscribers... have a spectacular weekend one & all.!!!

Thank you for the sous vide discussion. Very, very informative!

I invested in a sous vide circulator (using gift cards from work) 4 words. Sous Vide Egg Bites... That circulator and the tank I invested in have paid for itself by the money NOT being spent at Starbucks.
