We have our eyes on Iceland. Honestly, ever since your show aired and you went Puffin hunting, we have been completely fascinated with Iceland, the people, the incredible scenic beauty and most importantly, the ability to get far away from crowds of people.

My next trip is to Berlin and Munich with my two kids for their Spring Break. As 16 and 13 year olds, they want to see history come alive and experience new places and cultures. Germany will be their 22nd country to travel to...possibly taking a day-trip to Poznan, Poland, to check off another country. About two weeks after that, I am taking my daughter on a 9-night cruise from Barcelona to Copenhagen, with stops in Gibraltar, Lisbon and Amsterdam. Given all of her travels she wants to live in Europe, just trying to find the "right" place and I am more than happy to tag along and explore, too!

My list is pretty long. But the short list….Croatia, grandparents from both sides were Croatian & I’ve never been. It’s on the bucket list. But before that…I need that same alone on an island trip. Eating & exploring with no itinerary or agenda. Dream trip? Sailing with a handful of friends somewhere I’ve never been, maybe Maldives? I’m ready to go! ✈️

It's important to explore your heritage but I get the appeal of an island vacation... Maldives sounds excellent to me..

I need to get to Croatia to see if the Potiza I make from my grandmas recipe is as killer as I think it is! 😂 I’d like to think I’m doing it proud.

I love that “last stop on the subway” analogy. I am planning to visit Sicily because I have heard so much about it from you and others. I’m hoping to spend three weeks in just one place and surround myself with the pace and culture of place.

Such a good way to travel...just immerse yourself in one place with no rush...I hope you love Sicily as much as I do.

I want to go back to my mother's homeland of Seychelles and stay in a house on my favorite island, La Digue, and lay on my favorite beach, Anse Source d'Argent, and let the tide take away all the stress. The house must have air conditioning and a Wi-Fi connection so I can stream TV on a rainy day.

Oh, to be able to plan a “big trip” right now! I’m settling for a week in Cabo San Lucas with my family (the first gathering in 2 years), where I plan to do very little besides stare at my toes (with the Pacific in the background) and drink tequila and hopefully see a few whales - we leave in 2 ½ days! Then a week with my father in Amsterdam during tulip season, where we will eat cheese, admire flowers, and miss my mom who died a few months ago and who LOVED cheese and flowers.

The list of “big trip” destinations is long, but I dream of seeing how East Africa has changed since I was there 35 years ago, seeing India through the eyes of my partner who is a fearless adventurer, and exploring Southeast Asia through its food and crafts. So many trips….

I've always told myself if I ever got to a point financially where I could travel abroad, I'd wanna go to where my parents were born. My mother was born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and my Father in Weisbaden, Germany. I'd love to be able to spend a generous amount of time in each place to really get engulfed in the culture and get to know some locals.

I would like to visit Japan, I have hosted multiple chaperones and students that stayed with my family over the years. So I have accommodations from Sendai to Akashi. I thought I’d take the Travelzoo group trip, and extend in Osaka for a week. Just waiting for safe passage through the COVID red tape.

Got to be Amalfi coast. I've always wanted to go for the food and the scenery etc. However, I remember an episode Andrew did where he visited a Salumi/Cured meat makers(brothers)..in the middle of nowhere..Zimmern's eyes nearly popped out that head when he saw the meat cave...I laughed like hell imagining him locked in there for a few hours saying 'oh my gosh' to himself and guzzling salami.

I am here! I waited for years to find a peaceful place to live and I found it four years ago. After searching just about all of my Life (I will be 68 in January), there is no need to go anywhere. I have a view of the river from my sofa and I have everything I need. From Cloverport, KY.

I went to Lincoln, Nebraska, LOL. We had not physically seen the son and family for two years. But, seriously, I would like to just jump in the car with my hiking boots and drive around the US. There are so many places I would like to see with my own eyes. Out of the US..Paris, I don't know why just a place I've always wanted see and experience.

I know what you mean about wanting to get far away! I'd love to get to Cambodia or some other place off the beaten tourism path in Asia. Maybe a stop in Singapore for some chili crab on the way home though - Singapore has been on my bucket list for ages!

Athens, Greece, not only for all that is there, also to visit a dear friend who is from the same hometown in Northern Minnesota is living there. Would like to say it is for the vacation or scenery or food, but more so to make sure my friend is doing well.

Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trails in Japan. A friend did this pre-pandemic, and it's been on my list since then. I want to re-connect with nature and be far, far away from the familiar. https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4952.html

My best friends daughter passed away two years ago leaving her newborn that she never met. My friend is just now accepting her fate and taking the next step in going on with her life. She asked me to go to Alaska with her and that’s our plan in the new year! Northern lights and new vistas to begin anew as her daughter would have wanted!

I am planning on going to some East Asian countries lol Thailand or something. I want to meet the locals and maybe even have them teach me. I really want to learn how to cook traditional meals from all around the world. For me, it's not too much about where but more about learning how to cook beautiful cultural foods from everywhere in the world. I feel like food in a never-ending journey where there's always more to learn.

I would love to go Germany and taste the true food of my heritage with my husband. I want to take pictures of all the beauty that is there and see where my family lived. Lots of research and history, that would be so interesting to me.

I agree with the desire to do a REAL trip, but with two kids and a pandemic still hanging over us, it may be some time.

Next big trip with the kids is planned for 2025, taking our girls to Japan to see some of our favorite places and eat all the things.

Not sure if you remember, but you ate pizza with my family at Di Fara years ago and we crossed paths in Grand Cayman. Hope all is well!
