I’ve always wanted to help people and I’ve always been passionate about food. I grew up in Washington Heights and in the restaurant industry and I myself also struggled with drugs and alcohol, though am proud to say that I am 2 years sober. I’ve been struggling to figure out how I can help people and give back while working with food for some time. I am a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and have also studied at the Culinary Institute of America before working in restaurants here and in France. I have also worked in community outreach programs in nutrition here in New York City. I recently completed the graduate certificate program in nutrition at Tufts University and am beginning the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy program to become a health coach in March. Most recently I’ve had to take a step back from my real estate career to focus on being a full time father because my wife’s job provides us with healthcare. I’ve traveled many places, speak French and Spanish fluently and feel deeply about helping people. I’ve volunteered at coat drives, can drives, Thanksgiving dinner deliveries and assemblies, suit drives for young men, clothing drives, church breakfasts, and nutrition workshops for neighborhood care centers in Brooklyn. I’m writing this to you here hopes that I might be able to find a way to join you in helping people in some capacity. I’ve tried to email you at info@. I would really appreciate and advice or direction you can offer. You can reach me at emmerich.mark@gmail.com. I hope this message finds you well and safe.
Be honest, on Bizarre have you ever eaten something on screen, that off screen you grimaced or felt compelled to rid yourself of the food. I would try most anything myself, but I would draw the line at some of the offal.
We all seem to have our guilty favorite food of some sort, some to the point of 'eating in the closet' to avoid judgement. Fast food, weird food combinations, etc. My question is with your world traveler level palate, do you have a guilty favorite food, and if so, are you willing to share what it is? We signed up willingly, so I'm sure nobody here will judge! ;)
I would love to know what chefs (dead or living) have inspired your own culinary career. Also, if you could only choose three cookbooks to keep from your collection what would they be?
Hi I’m watching your show to Jamaica. Would you consider coming to Barbados? We have some unique foods e.g pudding and souse, cornmeal cou cou, macaroni pie, rum punch, soursop punch and Maury. You would love them. Authentic local foods to die for. Please consider it. Regards Dorial Jones
Not gonna lie…I read that as…”watch now as I fling my naked body into an ice bath” a lil disappointed there was no video 😂

I’ve been catching up on Zimmern list now that it’s all on Mag. Just love these…so relatable. Curious…which city surprised you the most? Where was the underdog that blew you away? BTW…Maine & Boston we’re my 2 favs. So good!
When you are at the different homes on your show Family Dinner, has there ever been a particular dish or main course that smelled awful or a dish that tasted awful?
I was the day chef here! I worked under Chris guirraputo ! I work with you Andrew!! Do you remember me?
As we get older (not that you are old ) we sometime give up eating certain foods as much. What foods do you eat less of and which do you eat more of?

What is the animal, if any, that you feel most guilty about loving to eat? (You know I'm not judging, lol...)
did you see I answered your Q last week? https://andrewzimmern.substack.com/p/the-animal-i-feel-most-guilty-for
I did! But I didn't see the photo until this morning. Priceless!
What’s your favorite Brand(s) of cutlery? Both High-End i.e. Shun/Wusthof and Economical i.e. Dexter/Winco/Mercer?
You are a great example of the power of surrender.
Oh snap! You gotta do that you gotta do lol
One tough nugget 😂
